Signing in

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? Enter your email address and tap Send code. Enter the code from the email, create a new password, and tap Save and sign in.

The password reset email didn't come. What do I do?

Check your spam folder. Make sure you entered the email you signed up with, then tap Try again.

What if I lose my phone?

Sign in on your new phone. Your agreements, signatures, payments and business profile come back from your last backup. ServiceSeal backs up whenever you have a signal.

On the job

My customer isn't with me. How do they agree to an offer?

On the signing screen, tap Send this offer as PDF, then mark it as sent. When they say yes verbally, by text or by email, tap Mark as Customer Agreed. You can get their signature later with Get it signed.

Does my customer need an account?

No. Your customer signs on your phone, or you record how they agreed — verbally, by text or by email.

Can I check a document before it goes to my customer?

Yes. Every Send button opens the document full screen first. Read it through, then tap Send at the bottom to choose email, text or another app.

Which payment apps can I put on a payment request?

Venmo, Cash App and PayPal get a QR code that opens with the amount owed filled in. Other payment links get a code too. Zelle, cash and check appear as written instructions. Add your links in Business profile.

Can I use ServiceSeal without a signal?

Yes, once you've signed in. Offers, signatures and documents work without a signal, and ServiceSeal sends and backs up when the connection returns.

Can I talk instead of typing?

Yes. Tap where you would type, tap the microphone on your keyboard, and say the job the way you'd tell the customer. Your phone does the typing, so read it over and type the prices yourself.

Does ServiceSeal process payments?

No. The money goes straight to you, through your own payment apps, cash or check. ServiceSeal records what's been paid and makes the payment request and payment summary (receipt).

Phones and tablets

I emailed a document from my iPad and ended up on the iPad's home screen. What happened?

Your iPad opens Mail in its own window. ServiceSeal is still open — tap it to carry on. To come straight back, go to Settings → Multitasking & Gestures and choose Full Screen Apps.

Why is the email subject blank when I send from my Android phone?

On an iPhone or iPad, ServiceSeal fills in the subject for Apple's Mail. It can't pass one to Android's email apps yet, so type your own before you send.

Your account, your data and your subscription

What happens after the trial?

After 21 days with every feature, your account pauses unless you subscribe, at $12.99 a month. Everything you finished stays readable; only new work waits.

Can I keep my current software?

Yes. Keep your scheduling, accounting and payment tools. ServiceSeal runs the agreement with the customer, and there's nothing to move.

What does Export my data do?

It saves a copy of everything — agreements, payment records and spreadsheets — in one zip file to send to your computer. Nothing is removed from the app. On your computer, extract the zip file and open START HERE. Find it on the Account tab.

Does a dispute hold stop me deleting my account?

No. A hold keeps a customer's details if they ask you to remove them, but deleting your account erases held records too. Delete my account warns you first if any job is on hold.

What happens when I delete my account?

It permanently erases your agreements, customers, payments and business profile, from this phone and from your backup, and removes your sign-in. It can't be undone, so export your data first if you want a copy. It doesn't cancel a subscription — do that in the App Store or Google Play.
